Located along Jalan Abdul Samad,Johor Bahru,the Johor Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd(KPJ Johor),a 256-bedded healthcare facility offers a comprehensive range of medical,surgical and 24-hour emergency services.Its heart and soul comprises of 45 resident medical consultants in all the major multi-disciplines and 7 medical officers and over 800 well-trained nursing and non-nursing personnel.

Being the pioneer and most established among all the other hospitals in the KPJ Healthcare Berhad Group,the KPJ Johor epitomizes a strong and enduring corporate culture.Since it opened its doors to the public in May 10 1981,it has been known as one of the premier private healthcare providers in the country,associated with quality service.

Established in 1981 KPJ Johor further expanded its size and services in the effort to provide the needs and the comfort of the customers from one main block to two blocks(Inpatient and Outpatient Block).In year 2009,two more blocks have been built which are multi storey car park and annex block for the private and comfort of the customers.

On November 29,1994,the Hospital was listed along with KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital,under KPJ Healthcare Berhad on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia.As at 31 December 2009,the Group was ranked 91 out 100 companies in Bursa Malaysia through the continuing increase of its share price and resulting in enlarged market capitalization,with a share price of RM6.51 and market capitalization of RM1.4billion.

The Hospital adopted productivity improvement initiatives such as Innovative & Creative Circles,Suggestion Schemes and has implemented an integrated management system according to MS ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, HACCP(MS1480:2007) and OHSAS 18001:2007.KPJ Johor also has obtained the accreditation status by Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) since 2005.
